The Witching Hour

Woke up with a little rambling thought in my head ,I figured a cup of tea would go down nicely so here I am ....thinking.
Containing our lives .
How do we do that?
Mine is spilling out
All over.It seems.
Unlikely that it will ever be together.
Again.

Scattered all over
The place.
Someone has my life in an album.

Anguish

It is wonderful discovering new stuff with amazing people.My sister is generous to the core in sharing her knowledge ,she does it with love and compassion and I give her a standing ovation for this. We spent a great day together painting and chatting and drinking wine ,just lovely. This is what i ended up with .I must say my mother's comment as she watched me paint was ...."What a waste of time " It seems the subject matter was just a little too dark for her .You have to love her she did try to like it .

So now it is time for the male nude ...First the sketch in willow charcoal ..about 6 minutes. Then the painting which took the best part of a morning .I am very happy that the painting looks nothing like the sketch ..killing myself laughing here.I must add the neighbour from hell would be so pissed off at these hehehehehee.

Second go at doing this one excuse me if i get a bit snappy here lol First attempt at a nude was this one ,which i love i might add.I just threw my favorite colour on the board and kind of went with the flow .

I was going to write about dealing with a downer but then I thought Jeeze Jo that is so boring .So instead I will give you a laugh and show you my exploration of the human body ....Start laughing now!!!.
My neighbour from hell who spent 6 months trying to get me to look at his penis,and draw / paint it ,take a photo of it and goodness knows what else, got me thinking that yes i should try painting the human form.I must explain that I found the 5 minute sketch challenge on body parts particularly painful. But ,give me credit I persevered with little progress I might add.I think my biggest problem is impatience .If it doesn't happen in 5 minutes i am out of there.

So i thought i would start with a harmless little female with her back turned shyly on the viewer. This resulted in two paintings because they are really weird .I have become fond of the single nude though and will eventually paint over the group.
